2.What is your standardized grading system for pearl quality?
Since there is no industry-wide grading system for pearls like diamonds, we use the easy to follow AAAA Pearl Quality Grading System. As the four factors to evaluate the pearl quality: Luster, Shape, Nacre and Surface, we evaluate the grading of all pearls as below:

If there is a pearl like this, the overall grade of this pearl will be AA from our grading system.

3. How do I distinguish the real pearl from the fake one?
The first is the traditional tooth test. Simply rub the test pearl against the surface of your front teeth. Since a real pearl has a natural layered surface it should feel slightly gritty or have a sandy texture against your teeth. A smooth texture can indicate a fake pearl made from plastic or glass. A second test is weight. A real pearl should feel heavy for its size. The third test is to feel. Real pearls have a fresh, cool feel. Fake pearls can sometimes feel greasy.

4.How are pearls classified?
There are many ways to classify pearls. Here are the most common ways you’ll find them classified when you buy pearl jewelry.
1) By growth method. Whether the pearls are natural or cultured.
2) By water types. Whether the pearls are freshwater or saltwater.
3) By color. Whether they’re white, black, green, gold, variegated, etc.
4) By shape. Whether the pearls are round, near-round, drop, Baroque, etc.
5) By size. Whether they’re little (2-5 mm); bead pearls (5-5.5 mm); medium (5.5-6.5 mm); large (6.5-7.5 mm); extra large (7.5-8.5 mm) or super large (8.5 mm and up).
6) By region. Whether they are East pearls, West pearls, South pearls, Chinese pearls, Australian pearls, etc.
7) By usage. Whether the pearls will be used for medicinal purposes or for ornamentation.
8) By content. Whether the pearls contain stones, sand grains, or other irritants.
9) By source. Whether the pearls are detached or blister.
10) By nacre thickness. Depending on the type of pearl, different nacre thicknesses will produce different diameters.

5.What factors do the value of pearls depend on?
Size: Just to put it in perspective a difference of only 1mm can double of triple the price of the pearl. The size of a pearl is determined by its diameter and measured in millimeters
Luster: It depends on the translucence of nacre and the nacre layers are arranged. The most desired luster is that of a mirror like glow.
Shape: Spherical or round are the most valuable pearls (all other factors being equal). However baroque pearls (irregularly shaped) can be valuable to some jewelry designers
Color and Overtone: Color is influenced by the mollusk itself and by the environment in which the mollusk lives. The color has 3 main characteristics: Body-color, overtone and orient. Body-color is the main color of the pearl. Overtone is the transparent colors that appear on the surface of the pearl
Nacre: The thickness of the nacre depends on the growth period allowed for each pearl and its formation strongly influences the luster. If it is too thin then it looks dull and the value is low.
Surface: The blemishes and other irregularities on the surface of the pearl influence the value of the pearl. Please see our quality guidelines for a better understanding of the importance of the surface in the grading (and consequently the pricing) of the pearls.
Matching: It depends on the design and on the skill of the person who sorts the pearls. Pearl experts put great effort in ensuring that a strand contains pearls of the same size, luster and overtone.

6.When buying fine jewelry what is the importance of the mark?
The specification shows the differences in quality. For example: “14k” means 58.5% pure gold, “18k” is 75% pure gold. When you see “14k” this means that 14 of 24 parts are pure gold. The remaining 10 are alloy. Alloy is a mixture of several different metals added to strengthen, or in some cases to change the color to a white tone or a rose tone. Normally, we make 18K ,14K, and 9K-gold jewelry.

7. How do I care for pearls?
Put pearls on after hair spray, cosmetics and perfumes.
Remove your pearls before strenuous activities or bathing.
Avoid repeated exposure of your pearls to high heat sources.
Clean with a warm damp cloth.
Store your pearls in a soft cloth pouch (like we send along with the purchase).
Take your pearls for a check-up once a year.
Celebrate the beauty of your pearls by wearing it.
